The second phase of a promotional campaign inviting the Register’s print and digital readers to meet the people and personalities behind popular news beats is underway.
The following three journalists are being featured in the Register and ocregister.com in coming weeks:
-Kelli Fadroski (Encore music blogger on orangecounty.com)
-Roxanne Hack (OCMoms.com editor and Web team leader)
-Peter Larsen (Pedro and The Watcher blogger and pop culture/entertainment reporter)
The first four journalists in the campaign continue to host contests and events that reward print and online audiences with exclusive experiences, everything from front-of-the-line shopping experiences or photo opportunities with Santa at South Coast Plaza with Deals Diva Marla Jo Fisher, to a scavenger hunt with OC Beaches blogger Laylan Connelly with clues on where giveaway items may be claimed this weekend (through her Twitter page).
Fast Food Maven blogger Nancy Luna, fresh off co-hosting an Anaheim Ducks’ viewing party and giveaway yesterday with Wahoo’s co-founder Wing Lam at Wahoo’s Fashion Island location, is now offering a VIP experience through her Facebook and Twitter pages that awards access to a pre-opening gathering at a new Wahoo’s location in downtown Orange.
OC Unwired blogger Ian Hamilton recently hosted a wireless router giveaway, and is gearing up for another big giveaway with GamersFirst on Wednesday.
The new wave of featured journalists are hosting promotions too. Fadroski is gearing up for a big giveaway and promotion of her coverage of the OC Music Awards.
The promotional ads bring the Register journalists – and the passion they have for their beats – to life. Ads link to individual profile pages that include bios, videos and links to the journalists’ social media pages.
